Where will you be working? As an organisation, there is little we don't do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in helping over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport, and telecom. M Group Services is hiring a Group Business Improvement Manager to support the COO in driving strategic development and performance improvement. The role involves leading projects, developing strategies, and turning business plans into action. The team works across divisions, bringing expertise in analysis, project management, change, and stakeholder engagement.
What will you be doing?
* Maintaining effective programme management and clear reporting routines to keep the programme running smoothly.
* Working hands-on with projects to explore, test, and roll out innovative new ways of working across M2.
* Providing change support as new M2 processes, systems, and structures are introduced, offering guidance to help project teams move faster, deliver value, and minimize risks.
* Contributing to the creation of strong business cases and actionable plans with your change management expertise.
* Spotting delivery risks early, escalating issues, and proposing practical solutions.
* Leading on Shibumi usage, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and coaching teams to optimize system use.
Required Skills and Experience
* Strong experience in project management processes and concepts.
* Proven background in change management, including functional change projects.
* Skilled in problem solving, logical, and analytical thinking.
* Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
* Solid IT skills, including Microsoft Office and cloud systems.
* Basic understanding of financial concepts such as P&L, payback, IRR.
