As a Senior Occupational Hygienist you’ll be part of JLR’s Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, supporting both manufacturing facilities and product development environments.
Responsibilities
* Provide operational support on occupational hygiene matters, including undertaking workplace exposure monitoring programmes for hazardous substances, occupational noise, local exhaust ventilation (LEV), and hand–arm vibration (HAV).
* Produce clear, well‑written reports summarising monitoring findings and providing practical recommendations to support safe working environments.
* Support COSHH assessors by supplying relevant monitoring data, interpretations, and technical input.
* Work with external authorities and regulatory bodies—such as ECHA, the HSE, and the Environment Agency—under supervision.
* Apply a strong understanding of applicable standards, legislation, and regulatory compliance in all occupational hygiene activities.
Qualifications
* Certificate of Operational Competence in Occupational Hygiene (CertOH).
* Experience working as an Occupational Hygienist and conducting workplace exposure assessments across a wide variety of topics and sectors.
* Experience in the management and governance of asbestos, legionella, and radiation.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and produce high‑quality technical reports.
What to Expect
