An established and exciting fashion brand which has seen explosive growth are currently recruiting for a Buyer. They have quickly grown and have a well-recognised presence on social media platforms. This is a pivotal role to the business & an exciting opportunity to join a business on its path to success. The ideal candidate will have a experience in a similar role for a fashion ecommerce business.
The Role:
You will manage a small team, leading by example and coaching where needed.
Responsible for department strategy, range planning, reporting & the critical path.
Negotiate cost prices across China, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Morocco and the UK
Buying a multi-product range of Ladieswear including Accessories & Footwear.
Ensuring the range is reflective of the business strategy & brand.
Working closely with the business owners on a daily basis.
Helping to interpret reports and predicting future sales.
Use the WSSI to make informed and strategic decisions.
Negotiating the best possible cost prices at all times.
Develop new strategies for the business and department.
Identifying key opportunities in the business.
Analysing market trends and have good seasonal awareness.
Monitoring best & worst sellers then making recommendations on markdowns.
Working with markdown strategies to maximize profitability.
Assist with planning in promotional & Trading activities.
Sourcing new factories and suppliers in line with the brand quality, design, ethical requirements.
Communicate key information in trading meeting to buyer and director level.
Other duties as required.
Skills Required:
MUST have 5 years Multiproduct Buying experience – ideally for a Fashion Ecommerce Brand.
A relevant degree in Fashion or similar.
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel.
Strong strategic and range planning skills.
Sourcing experience is essential.
Previous experience managing your own range, OTB and budgets.
Confident user of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel).
