Professional Print Service Engineer
At Canon EMEA, we are looking for a Professional Print Service Engineer to install, service and repair a range of Canon Professional Printers. You will ensure adherence to standard call procedures and maintain quality standards, achieving a high first‑time fix rate and minimum return rates focused on customer satisfaction and retention by delivering an exceptional service experience.

Responsibilities
* Provide first‑line troubleshooting for production print devices, working to strict service level agreements.
* Achieve a high first‑time fix rate and minimal recalls with cost‑effective use of labour and parts.
* Communicate effectively with Canon customers and internal departments.
* Contribute to the ongoing development of the team and overall service performance, including coaching junior Service Engineers.
* Ensure all post‑sale field service requirements are met.
* Provide technical escalation support for colleagues when required.
* Record all activities correctly in line with company guidelines.
* Optimize customer stock inventory and rotation, balancing against return‑to‑fit visits.
* Provide customer product instruction and training.
* Advise customers when chargeable work is needed and obtain authorization before undertaking it.
* Identify opportunities to improve maintenance and repair practices and machine modifications.
* Signal commercial opportunities to the Sales and Marketing department.
* Fully comply with company policies, Health & Safety Guidelines and product safety checks.
* Take advantage of further training to develop your skills.

* Remain calm under pressure, prioritise tasks effectively, and work independently or as part of a team.
* NVQ or equivalent in an electrical and/or mechanical discipline.
* Excellent organisational, planning and time‑management skills with a proactive, problem‑solving attitude.
* Competent Service Engineer experience in a production/commercial environment with passion for fault finding, resolution and relevant IT experience.
* Understanding of health and safety guidelines.
* Full UK driving licence.
