Job title: Corporate commercial account handler
Location: Birmingham – Work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Office-based midweek
PURPOSE OF ROLE
Lawes is recruiting on behalf of a respected and growing organisation within the insurance sector seeking a skilled Corporate Commercial Account Handler. This role sits within their Education & Charities team and offers the opportunity to manage significant commercial portfolios in a supportive, technically focused environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manage and service a portfolio of corporate commercial accounts
* Handle renewals, mid-term adjustments, and general client queries
* Liaise effectively with insurers and clients to deliver tailored risk solutions
* Support Account Executives in delivering exceptional service and retention
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures
DAY-TO-DAY
* Engage with clients across the Education & Charities sector
* Review and process complex commercial policies
* Maintain high levels of documentation and system accuracy
* Participate in team meetings and provide input into client strategy
EXPERIENCE
* Proven track record in Commercial Account Handling
* Exposure to risks with premiums in excess of £50k
* Background in Education, Charities, or Cross-Class Commercial desirable
* Experience in handling corporate clients and complex policy wordings
SKILLS
* Excellent technical insurance knowledge
* Strong communication and client relationship skills
* High attention to detail and very organised
* Cert CII qualified or actively studying towards certification
* Motivated by personal development with the ability to earn bonuses per exam passed
