I have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor working in the water and civils sector based in the Portsmouth region My client is interested in candidates with a civils background (water project experience would be advantageous) My client is a first class employer who really value their staff and this is exampled by their fantastic staff retention rate Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor * Supply chain management * Compile Forecasts and attend forecast Meetings * Prepare internal contract valuations * Develop and Produce reports * Monitor performance standards & quality. * Procure and manage subcontractors * Build strong relationships with clients & their representatives. * Establish & actively promote working relationships between the department * Manage the Contract and scope of works * Discuss and develop procurement strategy. * Submit timely applications for payments * Review costs & value * Take off's from drawings and pricing of compensation events Skills & Knowledge * Finance Management – CVR’s & Financial reporting * Negotiating * QHSE legislation * Contract awareness – NEC3,4, ECC * Understanding of Tendering & Procurement processes * Supervising people * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in Civil Engineering environment * Experience of Dispute resolution (desirable) * IT Microsoft Office skills -Evision, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Business Collaborator * Understanding of company computer based cost recording systems * NEC3,4, ECC full contract awareness Ideal Qualifications * Preferably Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management * Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors membership (RICS) (desirable) Benefits * Highly competitive salary package & car allowance * 25 days (days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays * Excellent Group pension scheme * Discretionary Bonus (based on performance) This represents an excellent career opportunity coupled with a first-class salary package Send your CV now
