We are supporting a leading organisation within the defence and aerospace sector in the search for a Procurement Specialist to join a growing Supply Chain team on an initial 12-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with procurement or buying experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with stakeholders across complex programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Negotiate contracts for products, services and technologies.
* Support sourcing activities and develop effective procurement strategies.
* Prepare and execute contractual documentation and agreements.
* Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance, quality and delivery.
* Identify and mitigate supply chain risks while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Balance inventory, demand and supply requirements to support programme delivery.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities align with wider business objectives.
* Analyse demand and supply trends to support informed decision-making.
* Communicate supplier performance metrics and expectations.
About You
* 2-4 years' experience within procurement, supply chain or buying roles.
* Experience working with ERP systems (SAP knowledge advantageous).
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
* Comfortable working within a dynamic and changing environment.
* Defence, aerospace or engineering sector experience would be beneficial.
