The role:
We seek a talented and experienced B2B2 Content Marketing Manager to join our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker who is passionate about building engaging B2B content that drives brand awareness, increases audience engagement, and generates leads. The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content strategy across multiple channels, including blogs, sales collateral, emails, newsletters, and website content.
We are a small but friendly team of 5, and we also work with a number of freelancers and agencies. You will report to the Head of Marketing. This role does not have any direct reports.
Responsibilities:
* Content creation - Produce high-quality, compelling thought leadership content in several formats, including blog posts, ebooks, articles, infographics
* Product collateral – Produce web pages, data sheets, product brochures, feature videos, and more. Video editing experience is not necessary, but it is beneficial. At the least, you should have the imagination to work with freelancers to create video concepts and scripts.
* Content strategy - Develop and execute a content marketing strategy aligned with business goals and target audience interests. Continuously refine the plan based on data-driven insights and industry trends.
* SEO optimisation – Optimise and create content for search engines to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings. Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to enhance content visibility.
* Email marketing – Develop email marketing campaigns to distribute your content, nurture leads, and drive conversions. Craft compelling email content and optimise campaigns for deliverability and engagement.
* Performance tracking and reporting - Monitor content performance metrics and KPIs like traffic, engagement, lead generation, and conversion rates. Analyse data to identify opportunities for optimisation and improvement.
* Collaboration and cross-functional alignment - Collaborate closely with the other teams, including Sales, Development and Customer Success, to collect content requirements and feedback and promote new content and activity across the business.
Requirements
* Around 5+ years’ experience in content marketing, ideally in a B2B or software company.
* Strong writing and editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Proficiency in SEO best practices and content optimisation techniques. Technical SEO knowledge is beneficial but not essential.
* Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and innovative content ideas.
* Familiarity with CMS systems within website creation tools like Webflow or WordPress.
* Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Experience in working with and/or managing graphic design freelancers
* Analytical mindset – able to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly across departments.
* The ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Basic video editing skills and some exposure to HubSpot as a CRM tool, are beneficial.
