Overview
We are seeking a number of Battery Test Technicians to join our Electrification and Battery Testing team.
Responsibilities
* Conduct a range of abuse and development tests on customer battery systems ranging from cell level to full pack, including battery tear down (disassembly).
* Test and tear down at the cell, module, and pack levels. Collaborate with team members and customers to ensure tests are set up and executed in the most efficient and effective manner.
* Collect test data to include in reporting for the customer, which will inform design improvements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
* General maintenance of the site and equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements
* Background or interest in electronics, electrical, motor vehicle and prototype build.
* A full UK driver’s licence is required.
* Baseline security clearance will be required for this role.
* Hours: 39 hours per week with standard hours 08:30–16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:30–16:00 Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break; hours can be flexed (to be discussed at interview).
* Contract: Up to 18 months; Up to £18 per hour (approx. £29,835 p.a.) based on skills and experience (inclusive of holiday pay). Outside IR35 option available.
* Role involves working outdoors in all weather; PPE and clothing provided (if Outside IR35/Ltd company agency worker, PPE requirements to be discussed).
* Abbreviated start dates: 29 September or 6 October 2025; future start dates can be discussed.
Assessment & Interview Process
Assessment Centre. Interview process includes a short 10-minute MS Teams interview to discuss CV and experience. If successful, candidates will complete psychometrics tests, followed by an on-site competency-based interview including a work sample test. MS Teams interviews from 8 September; on-site interviews to take place w/c 22 September (HORIBA MIRA, Watling St, Nuneaton, CV10 0TU).
