In June last year we appointed a new Independent Chair for both the Adult and Child Protection Committees, and this year we have introduced two new learning and development roles which will work as part of a team alongside Adult and Child Protection Lead Officers. This post offers an opportunity to contribute to strategic planning and self evaluation approaches, and to provide a key link between operational services and the Adult Protection Committee. The postholder will support the development and delivery of learning and development activity, ensuring practice is underpinned by trauma informed approaches and service user voice. The team reports through Chief Social Work Officer oversight and works closely with the Committee, adult social work services and partner agencies. We are seeking a highly driven and enthusiastic individual who understands the value of collaboration to ensure adults are protected from harm. This post requires a social work qualification, for example CQSW/Dip SW/BA (Hons) Social Work, a Masters in Social Work, postgraduate diploma or equivalent. This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children and Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential.
