A British passport is a requirement for this role to meet the security clearance eligibility.
Responsible for effective delivery of technical support and installations. This will include break-fix tasks, hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments, site planning, problem escalation, and managing installations in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) datacenter.
Prioritize ticketing queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technician activities in accordance with internal policies and service level agreements.
Provide 24x7 site coverage for Oracle OCI datacenter sites.

Responsibilities
* Effective delivery of technical support and installations, including hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments, site planning, problem escalation, and managing installations.
* Work primarily at an Oracle datacenter in a “mission critical operations” environment.
* Require a 7x24-hours commitment to participate in the regional standby rotation program and shift.
* Involve on-call shifts, requiring a driving license and the ability to reach the datacenter site within 60 minutes.
* Work closely with other technical and non-technical teams (e.g., networking, compute, compliance, business operations).
* Understand internal customer problems and provide technical solutions promptly.
* Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.
* Support deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure, including structured cabling installation.
* Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware.
* Work within a ticket-based environment, prioritizing queues, resolving escalations, and clearing blocking issues to ensure continuous technician activities, in line with internal policies and SLAs.
* Follow ticket processes and OCI change management rules.
* Perform system board level repairs and fault diagnosis to meet SLAs.
* Use provided tools for proper and timely internal reporting.
* Plan and commission new rack positions and participate in the design and commissioning of new whitespace areas.
* Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Possess solid knowledge of fiber and copper cabling.
