This collaboration leverages our strengths to offer clients a wider range of services, with Naismiths known for having completed over 10,000 projects, and developing the N3 platform. Our Role


We are now recruiting for a driven and motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team in our Bath office. We have a proven track record of delivery to a range of clients across both Private and Public sectors, with a significant number of healthcare clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of exciting projects while working in a supportive, dynamic environment, with clearly identifiable progression and development.


Key Performance Areas:


* Prepare cost estimates and manage project budgets from feasibility to completion.
* Monitor, forecast and report on project costs and ensure they stay within agreed budgets.
* Provide cost advice and guidance to clients and the project team.
* Conduct risk assessments and ensure value for money is achieved at every stage.
* Prepare tender documents, contracts, and agreements with clients and contractors.
* Review and manage contractor variations and resolve any contractual issues.
* Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and provide support to the full project team.
* Work closely with other members of the project team to deliver successful project outcomes.
* Follows our practice ways of working, using systems to enable as required.


Requirements:


* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with at least 5 years post professional qualification.
* A relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., RICS, or equivalent).
* Strong understanding of cost management and contract administration.
* Experience working with both private and public sector clients.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office, cost management tools, etc.).
* A full UK driving licence, with unrestricted use of a car is essential to enable site visits.
* Must have the right to work in the UK.
