This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs to make a meaningful difference every day.
What We're Looking For:
A SEN Teaching Assistant who can/has:
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional needs, including SEMH.
* Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and differentiated learning activities.
* Promote positive behaviour, routines, and emotional regulation strategies.
* Help track progress and work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistency in support.
* Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence in learners across the secondary age range.
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN and/or SEMH needs (school, care, or youth setting).
* A calm, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
* Knowledge of SEN and SEMH strategies, with the ability to adapt to individual needs.
* Relevant qualifications in education, care, or support are desirable but not essential.
To be eligible you must:
* Right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
* Two professional references (preferably from child-related roles).
