We are currently seeking an Assistant Head Teacher based at our SEN School in Grantham.

This school is a friendly and successful provision supporting vulnerable young children aged 7-18 with special education needs.
Ideal Candidate
The role is suitable for qualified teachers who have acted as middle leaders and are aspiring to their first senior leadership role. We welcome applications from those eager to start a career in school leadership. The successful candidate will also serve as the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure safeguarding of all young people underpins every decision.
2. Act as the central contact and expert on safeguarding matters, providing advice, managing concerns, and promoting safety culture.
3. Conduct peer reviews to maintain high teaching standards.
4. Schedule and conduct half-termly supervisions with staff.
5. Plan and deliver effective lessons.
6. Support the emotional and physical needs of young people and promote their development.
7. Uphold and encourage equality and diversity.
8. Maintain quality records and monitor progress.
9. Provide a personalized educational program based on robust assessments.
10. Perform duties as outlined in the Teacher Standards.

2. SEND experience.
3. Leadership ability to develop outstanding outcomes.

7. Provision of appropriate resources and inclusive environments.
8. Contribute to self-evaluation processes.
