Teaching Assistant – Godalming
Location: Godalming, Surrey
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP / Ongoing
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)
We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to support schools in Godalming. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a positive school environment.
About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom, helping to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. You may work with the whole class, small groups, or provide additional support to individual pupils who require extra help.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the class teacher with daily classroom activities
* Assist pupils with their learning, both in groups and on a 1:1 basis
* Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
* Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
* Support pupils’ social and emotional development
* Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people (school experience is desirable but not essential)
* A positive, patient, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
