We’re working with a specialty (re)insurance underwriting platform to hire an Underwriting Services Analyst to sit in a high-performing team supporting underwriters with the technical/operational “engine room” of the portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
* Acting as a key support point for underwriters and internal teams on day-to-day technical processing and queries
* Supporting premium and claims processing, ensuring work is handled within agreed SLAs and chased through to completion
* Producing/handling bordereaux (BDX) activity and helping keep technical data accurate and complete
* Supporting credit control activity and coordinating with third parties where needed
* Assisting with fund movements between client/broker/carrier and supporting technical payments
* Helping with month-end / quarter-end / year-end activities such as reconciliations and close support
* Coordinating and monitoring work delivered by offshore/outsourced processing teams, including allocation, prioritisation, and query resolution
* Contributing to continuous improvement: tightening processes, improving controls, and making admin smoother for underwriting teams
What we’re looking for
* 3–5 years’ experience in underwriting support / underwriting services / underwriting operations
* Strong preference for a Broker Technician background OR proven Bordereaux/BDX technician experience
* Insurance technical accounting exposure is very useful (premium/claims movements, credit control, loss funds, bordereaux servicing)
* Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities
* Excel confidence (you don’t need to be a modeller, but you must be solid and accurate)
* Proactive, detail-focused, and able to manage stakeholders across underwriting, finance, claims and operations
