Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Starting at £25,563.20, with potential earnings up to £32,283.20 including sleep-in shifts.
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a dynamic and inspirational Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Bayview. You will be working in a warm, family-oriented children's home in Heysham or rural North Lancaster, caring for a maximum of four young people.
In this role, you will guide and support young individuals aged 8-18 who face social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Your commitment to our ethos will help create a safe, secure, and nurturing environment, ensuring that every child’s life is progressively improved. Our homes are rated 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted, and we need passionate individuals to help us maintain and enhance our reputation.
Your Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional childcare and support as a Childcare Worker and Key Worker, consistently exceeding Ofsted standards.
* Enhance the lives of all young residents through purposeful and systematic care.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with families, friends, and external bodies as directed by the Registered Manager.
* Foster a culture of trust and mutual respect among children and staff.
Childcare Provision
* Develop high-quality care plans tailored to each young person.
* Adhere to all legal requirements, Ofsted standards, and Bay View Childcare policies.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and secure home environment.
* Build trusting relationships with children, understanding their unique backgrounds and needs.
* Engage proactively with children, creating an inclusive atmosphere where they feel they belong.
* Supervise children actively, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Manage and de-escalate conflicts effectively, following company policies.
* Communicate any concerns regarding children promptly to management.
* Participate in activities with children, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment.
* Assist with cooking and food purchasing, ensuring quality standards are met.
Requirements
* Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner Apprenticeship (to be completed within 2 years if not already held).
* Full UK driving license.
