Data Migration Consultant – Data Project Delivery (Fully Remote, UK)
12-month Initial FTC | Up to £70k
A successful UK data consultancy is looking for a Data Migration Consultant to lead and deliver a major data migration and system decommissioning programme for a well-known, high-profile brand. This is a fully remote role, working in an enterprise-scale environment with complex data flows and business-critical systems.
The role:
* Take ownership of a flagship programme to migrate data from a legacy system and fully decommission it
* Lead end-to-end data migration projects, from discovery and planning through to delivery and post-migration validation
* Design and oversee ETL processes, data mapping, transformation and data quality checks
* Ensure migrated data is accurate, consistent and ready for business use
* Work closely with technical teams to build and optimise data pipelines and integration workflows
* Translate stakeholder and business requirements into clear delivery plans and technical specifications
* Manage risks, dependencies, timelines and documentation to keep projects on track
* Support wider data initiatives including reporting, dashboards and continuity of analytics
* Act as a trusted advisor to the client, ensuring delivery meets enterprise-level standards
About you:
* Proven experience delivering data migration and/or system decommissioning projects
* Strong understanding of ETL, data mapping, data quality and data governance
* Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and legacy environments
* Experience with sales or marketing data would be highly valuable
* Confident stakeholder management and ability to challenge constructively
* Highly organised, delivery-focused and able to manage multiple moving parts
* Able to start immediately or at short notice
This is a hands-on delivery role with real ownership. You’ll play a critical part in replacing a key legacy system, migrating high-value data into a modern environment, and ensuring a smooth decommissioning process with no disruption to the business.

Contract Length: 12-month initial FTC
Salary: Up to £70,000 + 25 days holiday + BHs
