Temporary Store Manager – Riverside Service Station, Derby Road, Ambergate, Derbyshire DE56 2EJ
As Store Manager, you will manage a retail convenience store and forecourt, leading a team to consistently high standards and delivering excellent customer service while promoting sales and driving the financial performance of the store.

Responsibilities
* Ensure the store is open for business according to trading hours, serving customers quickly, professionally and with excellent customer service.
* Manage stock, maximise sales, ensure product availability, merchandising and promotions within the store.
* Control KPI's, wage costs, waste, and manage stock and cash shortages.
* Oversee the retail sale of alcohol and implement Challenge 25 regulations.
* Recruit, train and manage team performance, ensuring proper role training.
* Complete daily back‑office paperwork and banking accurately within allocated timelines.
* Oversee food preparation and maintain food safety records to company standards.
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the store and forecourt.
* Manage fuel stocks, ensure safe and legal fuel deliveries in compliance with petroleum regulations.
* Implement company policies and procedures to operate safely and legally.
Knowledge and Skills
The ideal candidate will have experience in a management or supervisory role within a retail environment. They should lead by example, have a hands‑on approach, and be able to manage, coach and motivate the team to maximise sales and profitability.
