About The Role
As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for all of the engineering design stages of each project. From proposal to completion, you will own the entire scope of work, manage all client relationships including liaising with external stakeholders and take responsibility for the overall success of multiple projects.
You will support multiple teams across the business, effectively communicating technical advice to assist where required throughout the development process. You will be required to fully review all engineering drawings required for residential development sites.

Key duties will include:
* Responsible for managing technical consents and ensuring approvals align with business requirements.
* Responsible for managing all engineering designs.
* Identifying any constraints or risks.
* Carry out due diligence on designs to ensure commercially efficient and compliant with both technical and company standards.
* Responsible for all development service requirements and appointing utility contractors.
* Ensure the appropriate approvals and wayleaves are progressed.
* Support groundworker tenders and ensure all allowances are made within the scope.
* Manage internal stakeholders to successfully deliver engineering requirements on time.
* Manage all engineering risks and input into CDM, risk register and temporary works register. Appointment of external engineering and associated development consultants. Be willing to assist and develop those around you as we pride ourselves on developing early talent.
About You
Essential attributes, knowledge and experience:
* Experience of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD skills are essential.
* Experience in housebuilding is preferable from an office or site background.
* Knowledge in both civil engineering and utilities, structural engineering would also be preferable.
* Ideally, you will hold a BSc in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
* Strong communication skill are key to effectively communicate clear and concise information and keep your colleagues up to date.
* Have a keen interest and knowledge of industry innovations and engineering solutions.
* A full understanding of managing utility service companies, obtaining quotes for new supplies and diversions etc., is a prerequisite for this role.
* Good understanding of the Local Highway Authority processes with regard to highway works and adoptions, and preferably have an existing relationship with local engineers in the highways and drainage departments.
