Location: Rochester
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Senior/Principal Hardware Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping innovative hardware solutions. Your responsibilities will include:
* Executing complex hardware design tasks aligned with our development plan, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
* Conducting hardware requirements capture and detailed design, including a variety of analysis tasks.
* Embracing an innovative mindset to enhance design processes and improve working practices.
* Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to optimize solutions and minimize dependencies.
* Providing technical guidance for the development and delivery of digital and/or analogue electronics solutions.
* Coaching and developing junior team members to foster their skills.
* Delivering design artifacts that meet both company and industry standards.
Your Skills and Experiences:
Essential:
* Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification.
* Proven knowledge and experience in digital and/or analogue electronics technologies.
* Experience navigating the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to product certification.
* Strong understanding of cost and schedule constraints impacting design decisions.
* Ability to provide sound engineering judgment throughout the development lifecycle.
* Robust understanding of product design and work package control.
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise.
* Experience with analogue simulation tools like Simetrix or Spice.
* Knowledge of system development tools such as Enterprise Architect, Matlab, or Simulink.
