Oxford Royale is a leading global provider of elite summer schools. Driven by a firm belief that education is about much more than a formal classroom, we offer young people unparalleled cultural and learning experiences, giving them a window to a world of opportunity.

Teaching is at the core of Oxford Royale’s Software Development, Robotics and AI programme. We are seeking an expert teacher to introduce students to the rapidly evolving fields, combining theoretical concepts with real-world applications. The ideal candidate will inspire and engage students by delivering complex material in an accessible way, guiding hands-on projects, and encouraging critical problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and adapt lessons using the Teacher’s Guide, ensuring the content meets the academic levels and interests of the students.
* Deliver engaging lessons covering topics such as programming, robotics and software development.
* Use subject expertise to encourage student progress, providing personalised feedback and adapting lessons to suit individual learning needs.
* Lead critical discussions on current developments and ethical considerations, encouraging students to think deeply and critically.
* Mark assignments, provide detailed feedback, and complete student reports reflecting individual progress.
* Handle administrative tasks, including maintaining registers and attending staff meetings.
* Collaborate with fellow teaching staff to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

Person Specification:

* Advanced knowledge and practical experience in computer science and programming, with an understanding of up-to-date industry trends.
* Passion for inspiring students and adapting to align with student needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of core principles.
* Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
* Proficiency in hands-on teaching methods, including project-based learning and real-time problem-solving.
* Fluency in English and strong organisational skills.

Position Details:

* Programmes are two weeks in length, with options for 2, or 4-week contracts available between July and August 2025.
* Teaching takes place Monday to Friday, with lessons scheduled from 09:00 to 16:00, although shorter hours may be available in some locations.
* Compulsory online and in-person training will be required before starting the role.
* While key teaching materials are provided, teachers are expected to adapt lesson plans to suit student interests and contribute their own expertise to the course.

Essential Qualifications:

* Undergraduate degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics or a related field.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience:

* Experience teaching Computer Science, Robotics or AI to students aged 16-18.
* PGCE or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics or a related field.
* Professional experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics or related industries.
