We are looking to appoint somebody with previous Art Technician skills who has ideally worked in a secondary school. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in Art and/or Textiles with a strong creative background. Key responsibilities include: • Maintain a safe and clean working environment at all times. • Provide support and assistance to the classroom teacher during practical lessons. • Work on your own initiative as well as a member of a team. • Plan and prioritise your work effectively. • Assist in the organisation and presentation of the Art and Textiles Rooms. The department is spilt on 2 floors so some manual handling will be required. • To attend and participate in relevant meetings as required. • Assist with the supervision of pupils out of lesson times, eg clubs, visits and extra-curricular activities organised by the department. • On occasion, may be required to act as cover supervisor.
