Working within a small team to manage the procurement of all product SKU’s. Effectively liaising with suppliers on a daily basis in order to achieve all required service levels.
Main duties include:
* Processing of purchase orders and goods receipt information
* Checking and processing order confirmation
* Follow up on overdue and unconfirmed orders
* Arranging transportation of components from UK & Europe
* Verifying all customs documentation including commodity codes and country of origin
* Manage products to agreed value and availability level
* Effective internal and external communication regarding stock management
* Handle supplier invoice processing and resolve any queries
* Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
* Liaise with production and internal sales and monitor PO requests based on forecasted data
* Liaise with warehouse and goods-in team to ensure smooth supply of goods
* Effectively communicate supplier lead-times to all concerned
* Manage Bills of Material process
* Manage non-conformance product process and liaise with suppliers for resolution
* General administrative support as required
Ideal candidates will have:
* Previous experience in a purchasing administration role or significant administration experience with ability to be trained in purchasing
* Experience of booking transport would be beneficial
* Excellent telephone manner
* Excellent written & oral communication skills
* Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to quickly pick up proprietary IT system
* High level of numeracy
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work
* Ability to be a positive member of the team and contribute to the success of the business
* Excellent organisation skills
* Customer focused with proven ability to build trust with customers.
