Activities Co-ordinator
Location: Oldbury, Birmingham
Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Salary: £13.25 per hour
We are looking to recruit a Activities Coordinator to support our patients at Oldbury, Birmingham. Coveberry Oldbury, part of The CareTech Group, is a registered locked rehabilitation Hospital with 13 en-suite bedrooms and 2 independent transitional flats providing supportive rehabilitation for men with Learning difficulties, ASC and/or mental health diagnosis. Many of our patient’s may require to be detained under the MHA for forensic risks, deprivation of liberty safeguarding to help keep them safe from harm and require a structured and safe community setting.
Requirements for the role:
Experience of working with Individuals with a diagnosis of Learning Disability or Autism preferred

Must be a driverMain Duties and Responsibilities:
The post holder will provide Vocational, Educational and Recreational activities for the service users in the unit and via community access.
Organization of activities for all service users to develop and maintain new skills.
To provide in-house activities for other care staff to use with service users, i.e. puzzles, football, board games etc.
To organize trips out for the service user) As a member of the support team, help to create a safe, educational and therapeutic environment based on the needs of the individuals and ensuring that their rights, dignity and personal privacy are maintained at all times.Rewards & Benefits:
