The Property Finance Assistant provides administrative and financial support within the property management finance team. The role ensures accurate recording of property-related income and expenditure, assists with financial reporting, and supports the smooth operation of property finance functions. A core aspect of this role is book-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
* Process invoices, payments, and receipts relating to property income, service charges, rents, and maintenance costs.
* Reconcile landlord, tenant, and client accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
* Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for property portfolios.
* Support the preparation and management of service charge budgets and reconciliations.
* Maintain accurate financial records in property management and accounting systems.
* Liaise with property managers, tenants, contractors, and landlords to resolve finance-related queries.
* Monitor arrears and assist in rent collection processes.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance and property management teams.
The above list is not exhaustive and general office duties will be required to support the office.
Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience in a finance or property administration role (desirable but not essential).
Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance/accounting software (experience with property management systems is advantageous).
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
A proactive and problem-solving approach.
The role is offered full time but flexible working hours could be considered. The position is available now and office based.
Holiday of 31 days which includes bank holidays (3 days to be taken during Christmas period).
