Senior Piping Consultant

Job Summary:The client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Piping Consultant to join their dynamic engineering team. Under the guidance of a Discipline Manager, Lead, or Principal Engineer, you will provide exceptional engineering expertise in the structures and piping discipline, contributing to our cutting-edge projects. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a project team to ensure successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical expertise in piping engineering while adhering to relevant design codes, including ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, B31.3, and DNV-ST-F101.
* Collaborate with the project team, supporting the Principal/Lead in executing piping engineering tasks.
o Evaluate, organize, and prioritize work independently, ensuring alignment with internal checks and approvals.
o Conduct analysis, design, and engineering activities for Subsea Piping Design, including Wall Thickness Calculations, Piping Stress Analysis, Detailed Drawings (GA & Isometric), and P&IDs.
o Originates and checks technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and client specifications.
o Demonstrate knowledge of piping materials, flanges, connectors, and valve standards (ASME B16.5, API 6A/API 17D).
o Act as the technical owner in supporting Supply Chain Management (SCM) for procurement of piping packages.
o Produce CTR estimates for relevant scopes of work and identify project opportunities for enhancement.
o Maintain full traceability of the technical development through the project lifecycle and provide regular feedback on workloads.
* Engage with and support other engineering disciplines throughout the project stages, ensuring effective, quality-driven engineering performance.
* Participate actively in project meetings, design reviews, and capture Lessons Learned while adhering to engineering standards and safety objectives.
* Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, subcontractors, and third parties.
* Provide technical engineering support to various departments within the organization and assist in delivering tender documents.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (MEng), preferably in Mechanical Engineering.
* Relevant experience in onshore and offshore/Subsea piping design.
* Proven ability to lead piping projects when necessary.
* Willingness to travel for project requirements to supplier and fabrication sites, as well as to Subsea 7 offices in other countries.
