Advanced Practitioner – Adults MASH Team
Location: Greater Manchester
Pay Rate: £32 per hour

Are you an experienced Social Worker with a strong background in Adult Services and safeguarding? We’re looking for a confident and proactive Advanced Practitioner to join a fast-paced Adults MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) in Greater Manchester. You’ll be working at the frontline of safeguarding – where critical decisions are made to protect vulnerable adults from harm, abuse, or neglect. If you're passionate about prevention, early intervention, and getting the right support in place quickly, this is your chance to make a real impact.
What you’ll be doing:
1. Managing complex referrals and safeguarding concerns
2. Leading risk assessments and making threshold decisions
3. Liaising closely with health, police, housing, and care providers
4. Using professional judgement to inform multi-agency decisions
5. Supporting less experienced staff and contributing to practice development
6. Ensuring timely, appropriate interventions that safeguard and empower adults
What you’ll need:
7. Qualified Social Worker (degree or equivalent)
8. Registered with Social Work England
9. Minimum 4 years' post-qualified experience in adult social care
10. Strong knowledge of Care Act, MCA, Human Rights Act and safeguarding legislation
11. Experience working in MASH, safeguarding, or front door teams
12. Excellent analytical, communication, and multi-agency working skills
13. Ability to work under pressure, manage high volumes, and make sound decisions
