Specialist Sexual Health & Contraception Nurse
This role is part of Better Health MCR – a primary‑care organisation delivering contraception and sexual health services across two primary care networks.
The successful candidate will work within the nursing team to provide family‑planning and sexual‑health services, support clinical teams with educational updates, and promote uptake of services among hard‑to‑reach groups.
Main duties of the job
You will provide a full range of sexual‑health and family‑planning services, including screening, LARC, and education.
You will work with the team to keep policies up to date, ensure good data quality, and support training for staff.
Job responsibilities
The post is part‑time, 22.5 to 30 hours per week (0.6–0.8 WTE), primarily based at The Robert Darbishire Practice with some work across other sites.
Salary will be in the range £38,682 to £46,580 pro‑rata (full‑time 37.5 hours), depending on experience. The role offers NHS Pension Scheme, 5.4–6.6 weeks holiday plus bank holidays, and is not subject to Agenda for Change terms and conditions.

Qualifications
* Up‑to‑date qualification and experience in sexual health and family planning (ideally CoSRH/FSRH diploma).
* CoSRH Diploma.
* Letter of Competence on Subdermal Implant fitting and/or Letter of Competence in Intrauterine Device fitting (or willingness to complete).
* Non‑medical prescriber (or willingness to complete).
