As a Sustainability Consultant, youll work alongside engineers, architects, and developers to embed sustainability at every stage of the design and delivery process. You'll guide clients on ESG strategy, energy and carbon reduction, and certification pathways, helping them exceed industry benchmarks and regulatory standards.
What Youll Be Doing:
Develop tailored sustainability plans that align with client goals and environmental targets.
Conduct energy assessments, carbon footprint analysis, and performance modelling.
Lead BREEAM, LEED, WELL, and other certification processes from inception to completion.
Prepare ESG and sustainability reports, and support planning submissions with detailed analysis.
Stay on top of emerging regulations and technologies to bring fresh insight to projects.
Deliver workshops and training to foster collaboration and environmental awareness across teams.
Take ownership of sustainability workstreams on major infrastructure and building projects.

Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Environmental Engineering, Building Services, Sustainability, or a related discipline.
Working knowledge of UK environmental and sustainability legislation, building regulations, and climate policy.
Experience delivering sustainability strategies for building projects (e.g. commercial, healthcare, education, residential, or public infrastructure).
Proven ability to conduct carbon footprinting, energy modelling, or life cycle assessments (LCA).
Familiarity with sustainability assessment frameworks such as BREEAM
Experience using relevant software tools (e.g. IES VE, One Click LCA, DesignBuilder, SAP/SBEM, or similar) would be desirable
