Ecologist
Location: Cardiff

An exciting opportunity for an Ecologist to join our client's dynamic and busy terrestrial ecology team in Cardiff.
Working for one of the UK's most innovative, pragmatic, and fast-growing environmental consultancies with offices nationwide, the team is committed to delivering exceptional outcomes across various environmental services and ecological contracting.
Services include, but are not limited to: terrestrial ecology, freshwater ecology, hydrology, marine laboratory, habitat management, arboricultural services, GIS and mapping, and environmental impact assessments.
We welcome applications from candidates already at Ecologist level as well as those with experience as Assistant Ecologists ready to advance to Ecologist.

Successful candidates will:
1. Have proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy.
2. Hold a degree or postgraduate qualification in ecology or a related field.
3. Possess field skills in one or more specialist areas.
4. Have experience in project management, survey coordination, or both.
5. Be knowledgeable about ecology legislation and survey best practices.
6. Be an excellent communicator with strong report-writing skills.
7. Hold a full, clean UK driving license, own a car, and be willing to travel and stay away from home.
8. Maintain a positive outlook and a strong desire to succeed.
9. Be a member of CIEEM.
Desirable:
* Possession of protected species licences (e.g., GCN, bat, dormouse).
