Job Description:
Supervise a team of Lead Model Technicians in the Model Shop and Wind Tunnel environment, overseeing the production, delivery, and testing of high-quality test components and assemblies for Wind Tunnel testing.
What you will be doing:
* Manage the Model Shop workload to meet the targets of the Aerodynamic testing program.
* Supervise a team to deliver development projects to the Wind Tunnel.
* Ensure parts and assemblies meet high standards and deadlines.
* Build complex mechanical assemblies for Wind Tunnel models.
* Address technical challenges and resolve problems.
* Collaborate with Model Design Engineers to improve Model change efficiency and part quality.
* Mentor junior team members.
* Support Health and Safety management.
Requirements:
* Experience in Wind Tunnel model part preparation and testing.
* Extensive model-making experience in high-level motorsport, preferably F1.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies and installations.
* Experience with metrology equipment.
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Ability to perform duties accurately and timely.
* Effective leadership and mentorship abilities.
* Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Commitment to an inclusive and open culture.
* Willingness to travel regularly, including weekends.
