Overview
Nurse Functional Assessor - Chelmsford role at TieTalent. Salary range: £37,500 to £46,215 (location dependent). Hours: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm. Based in Chelmsford, London.
Responsibilities
* Assess individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life. Draw on clinical expertise to obtain medical history, perform a physical examination, and produce concise, accurate reports for the DWP to determine eligibility for benefits.
* Meet with people face-to-face or via telephone/video. Be sensitive, compassionate, and uphold best practice standards while asking the right questions.
* Have time to make precise assessments and give each person your full attention. Work unsupervised as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team, with support as needed.
* Receive support from specialist sjb medical recruiters through the virtual application submission process.
About You / Qualifications
* Registered General, Mental Health or Learning Disability Nurse with a minimum of 12 months, recent post-registration experience.
* Experience in functional assessment and clinical decision making is advantageous.
* Continuous Professional Development (CPD) present on CV.
* Registered with the NMC.
* Good understanding of clinical governance and delivering to customer service levels and targets.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
* IT skills and experience using a range of software.
* Self-aware and focused on professional development.
* Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality.
* Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
* Able to work on your own initiative to meet deadlines and standards, and willing to support the multi-disciplinary team.
* Eligible to work in the UK without a visa (sponsorship is not available).
