What does the role entail?
Take a lead role in managing employee relations casework, supporting managers through disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance processes, ensuring all cases are handled in line with company policy, employment legislation and best practice, and that outcomes are fair, consistent and minimise risk exposure to the business. Act as the key point of contact for managers on day‑to‑day ER matters, providing clear, pragmatic advice and guidance throughout the end‑to‑end case management process, escalating complex or high‑risk issues to the HR Business Partner where appropriate. Support the HR Business Partner with the delivery of training, engagement and people initiatives at site, helping to build management capability and promote positive employee relations. Take an active lead in supporting the management team with absence management, ensuring colleagues are appropriately supported while driving improved attendance and reducing levels of sickness absence across the site.
