Citrus Recruit are excited to be working with a global organisation to recruit for an experienced Production Manager based in Bridgend.

This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations within the production department. The Production Manager will ensure efficient output, maintain exceptional quality standards, and lead a high‑performing team. You’ll collaborate closely with planning, quality, supply chain, and senior leadership to meet customer demand, improve processes, and create a safe and productive working environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Implement and manage production schedules in collaboration with the Production Planner.
* Monitor and adjust schedules according to customer demand, material availability, and capacity constraints.
* Ensure effective utilisation of labour, equipment, and materials.
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production personnel, promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* Work with the Quality Manager to maintain quality control processes, audits, and inspections.
* Apply lean manufacturing techniques such as Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies.
* Collaborate with Materials and Supply Chain teams to manage WIP and raw material levels.
* Ensure seamless material flow to maintain uninterrupted production schedules.
* Produce regular reports on production KPIs, including absorbed hours, productivity, efficiency, and quality.
Skills & Experience Required
* Degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
* Proven experience in a manufacturing, operations, or production management role.
* Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and control.
* Experience implementing lean principles and driving continuous improvement.
* Excellent leadership and people‑management skills.
Benefits package
* Salary of Circa up to £55,000 DoE
* Bonus paid annually @ 7.5%
