Your New Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Bid Manager to join our Work Winning team supporting growth of our Complex Facilities business within Public Sector Hard FM/TFM markets.
This is a hybrid role that will require regular travel to Birmingham or London.
The purpose of the role is to grow the business by delivering professional winning Hard FM and TFM bids that are profitable and align with strategic plan objectives.
As a Principal Bid Manager, reporting to our Bid Director, you will lead all aspects of Hard FM or TFM bids with contract values between £100m-£300m. You will gather and lead a bid team, acting as the focal point for all bid deliverables including technical solutions, quality responses, presentations, and commercial proposals.
You will develop bid strategies, manage communication protocols with stakeholders, oversee business-led bids, and ensure governance and bid processes are followed.
Responsibilities
1. Leading all bid process aspects for Hard FM/TFM bids.
2. Developing bid strategies with Business Stream or Account Directors.
3. Monitoring pursuit and capture data, ensuring win plans are in place.
4. Planning and managing resource requirements for bids.
5. Leading development of technical solutions and commercial bid deliverables.
6. Managing communication and document protocols.
7. Maintaining client liaison and responding to clarifications.
8. Managing bid budgets and opportunity assessments.
9. Facilitating risk and opportunity processes.
10. Overseeing business-led bids and bid governance.
11. Managing and developing Bid Managers and coordinators.
Candidate Profile
* Degree educated, ideally with APMP Foundation level.
* Experience in Hard FM or TFM bids.
* Organized, process-oriented, and thorough.
* Strong project management skills and ability to lead teams.
* Understanding of commercial aspects like cost planning and risk management.
* Proficient in MS Office; MS Project is a plus.
* Experience in public sector bidding is desirable.
