Year 2 Teacher Responsibilities The Year 2 Teacher will: deliver systematic phonics and guided reading as the Year 2 Teacher; design sequenced writing units and practical mathematics lessons as the Year 2 Teacher; run small-group interventions and keep accurate formative records as the Year 2 Teacher. The Year 2 Teacher will prepare transition work, lead parent consultations and contribute to moderation activities before and after January 2026. The Year 2 Teacher will prepare resources prior to January 2026 and be in class from January 2026. Year 2 Teacher Requirements We are seeking a Year 2 Teacher with QTS (or equivalent), confident KS1 practice and clear evidence of impact. The Year 2 Teacher should be reflective, organised and effective at building relationships.
