What You'll Be Doing:
* As our Water Quality Technician, you will undertake sampling activities and on-site analysis of drinking water at our sites and customer premises to meet the requirements of the Company and the Regulators.
* You will assist the Water Quality Scientists in investigating breaches of drinking water regulatory standards and in resolving customer enquiries relating to drinking water quality.
* Comply with the Company’s Health, Safety & Security policies.
* Ensure effective planning and delivery of sampling, monitoring and customer support activities.
* Comply with and suggest improvements to the Company’s Quality Management Systems.
* Maintain and improve the standard of customer contact to uphold and promote the Company image.
* Be aware when ‘trigger point’ reporting is required and ensure prompt reporting to minimise impact.
* Provide monitoring support during events and incidents.
* Utilise resources efficiently, maintain equipment and records to the required standard.
* Report on-site asset conditions.
What We're Looking For:
* 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths, English and a Science subject at grade C or above.
* A full UK driving license, as you will be required to attend sites across the region daily.
* Ability to follow procedures to exacting standards demanded by the Regulator and business.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to keep accurate records.
* Logical approach to tasks and the confidence to use initiative when circumstances dictate.
* Good geographical knowledge of the Southwest and ability to work outdoors in all weathers.
* Ability to deliver to time, cost, quality and performance targets.
* Understanding of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001 and ISO 17025).
* Proficiency in MS Office and confidence using computers and learning new systems.

Progression and Qualifications:
Enrolment on a company progression scheme including a Level 2 NVQ qualification in Monitoring the Water Environment, fully funded by the Company, with potential progression up to £29,518 per annum.
Eligibility and Location: Based in Exeter, with duties across the region as required.
