Tradewind Recruitment is working with several primary schools across Bolton to recruit Graduate Teaching Assistants. This role is suited to graduates considering a future career in teaching, educational psychology, or child-focused professions.
You will support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2, depending on school need, working under the direction of the class teacher and SENCO. The focus is on academic support, classroom engagement, and targeted intervention.
Key Responsibilities
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assist with lesson delivery and classroom organisation
Deliver phonics, reading, writing or maths interventions
Support pupils with SEND, EAL, or additional learning needs
Help manage behaviour and promote positive learning routines
Prepare resources and support assessments
Build strong, professional relationships with pupils and staffRequirements
Degree (any subject considered)
Clear interest in education or child development
Experience working with children or young people (school, tutoring, youth work, volunteering, care, sports coaching)
Strong communication skills
Reliable, proactive, and adaptable approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)What the Schools Are Looking For
