Our client is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a busy multi-disciplinary team within a forward-thinking company that values its people and invests in their development. This is an exciting opportunity to grow and develop your own team.
The role involves providing expertise across a full range of design and construction management, including engineering, architecture, and building maintenance. Currently, there is an opportunity for an Associate Structural Engineer to join our Exeter-based team.
As an experienced Associate Structural Engineer, you will be expected to:
* Complete planned work programmes and projects within set timeframes and budgets.
* Manage client needs, define project technical specifications, manage costs, fees, and commercial requirements, ensuring project delivery to client satisfaction.
* Assist the relevant director in managing engineering resources across the Structural Engineering team.
* Implement best practices within the Structural Engineering team.
* Lead major projects, ensuring they meet specifications.
* Prepare designs, calculations, specifications, drawings, and conduct risk assessments for improvement, refurbishment, and new building schemes.
* Prepare schedules of dilapidations, improvement schemes, drawings, specifications, structural surveys, and insurance reinstatement schemes.
The successful Associate Structural Engineer will have:
* A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a Structural Engineering-related discipline.
* Professional membership of the Institute of Structural Engineers and be working towards or prepared to attain Chartered status.
* A current site card or willingness to obtain one immediately.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
