Job overview
Join a team of nurses supported by a multidisciplinary team ensuring patients are discharged safely after elective orthopaedic surgery. The dedicated Elective Orthopaedic Unit at Furness General Hospital specializes mainly in Total Hip and Knee Replacement surgeries. The role involves working various shifts, including days and nights, 7 days a week.
Main duties of the job
You will support patients from admission to discharge, pre and post-operatively, working proactively in a nurse-led unit. Newly qualified nurses are encouraged to apply and will receive full support for preceptorship and development of extended roles. A 6-month probationary period applies for new staff.

We operate from three main hospitals: Furness General Hospital, Royal Lancaster Infirmary, and Westmorland General Hospital, along with community healthcare facilities across Morecambe Bay.
