Job Introduction
Yateley School is seeking to appoint a Learning Coach to join our friendly, experienced team. You will place a key role in supporting teaching staff with the education, care, and welfare of students with learning difficulties, helping them to become independent, confident, and well-supported learners.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Student Support team, where no two days are the same and every day makes a difference.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential — more important is patience, understanding, and flexibility to meet a range of needs. Additional training opportunities (e.g ELSA) are available for the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who can:
* Show empathy and understanding of students' needs
* Work collaboratively with parents, teaching staff, and students
* Keep accurate and confidential records of meetings and interactions
* Organise and plan their day around individual student needs
* Support learning and identify when additional interventions are required
* Demonstrate good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
* Communicate effectively, with professionalism and discretion
* Follow direction but also use initiative where appropriate
* Help students reach their full potential
