Accounts Assistant – Newark (Hybrid role) Full-time, 40 hours (flexible start between 8–10am) 2 days work from home Start ASAP – Temp role with the potential to go permanent We’ve got a great opportunity for someone experienced in accounts to join a friendly, down-to-earth finance team in Newark. It’s a typical Accounts Assistant role but with some nice perks — flexible hours, 2 days a week from home, and a supportive team to work with. You’ll be working closely with the Financial Controller (the group finance team is based in London), and if things go well, there’s a good chance this temp role could turn permanent. The process is really straightforward — just a 20-minute Teams chat with the Financial Controller, and if it’s a match, you could start straight away! You’ll be a key part of the Finance & Operations team, helping to make sure everything runs smoothly — from supplier payments and expenses to reconciliations and reporting. Day-to-day tasks include: · Managing supplier accounts and handling invoicing, debit notes, and retros · Checking product margins and flagging any issues to the Buying & Merchandising team · Preparing and submitting payment files for approval and processing · Reconciling supplier statements and sorting out any discrepancies · Processing petty cash from stores · Supporting with month-end tasks and general finance admin · Communicating with suppliers and internal teams to keep everything on track What we’re looking for: · Experience in Accounts Payable · Confident managing supplier payments and reconciliations · Solid Excel and Outlook skills · Proactive, motivated, and happy to work independently or as part of a team · Flexible and adaptable — someone who can roll up their sleeves and get stuck in · A genuine interest in retail or the creative industry · Experience using Netsuite ERP would be a bonus
