We are seeking a friendly and organised Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing appointments, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
The ideal candidate will have a background in dentistry and comfortable working in a fast paced, flexible and dynamic environment.
Applicants should be computer trained (Software of Excellence ideal).

Duties
* Greet patients warmly and professionally upon arrival and departure
* Manage appointment scheduling and cancellations efficiently
* Answer phone calls, respond to patient enquiries, and direct calls appropriately
* Handle patient records with confidentiality and accuracy
* Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
* Assist with stock management of dental supplies and materials
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the reception area
Skills
* Previous office experience, ideally within a healthcare or dental setting
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficiency in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and handling correspondence
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide exceptional customer service
* Familiarity with dental practice management software is desirable but not essential
* Professional appearance and friendly demeanour to create a welcoming environment for patients
The right candidate will have a focus on providing an excellent customer experience, be a team player with strong organisational skills and a "can do" attitude. Attention to detail and the ability to communicate accurately and efficiently with patients in writing and in person is a must.
Optional treatment coordinating Duties
* Assist patients on their journey through the consultation process and ensure all enquiries are handled accurately and quickly.
* Liaises with clinicians, nurses, and patients.
* Gathering information from clinicians.
* Coordinating treatment and presenting it to the patient.
* Point of contact for patients in all aspects.
* Administrative correspondence.
* Making sure the patient have an understanding of the treatment needed, time frames and cost.
* External Referrals including CBCT scans.
* Correspondence with Clinics regarding referrals.
* Aftercare phone calls
Hours of work preferably 8.00 to 5.30 Monday to Thursday, 7.30 to 2:00 Friday but consideration will be given to full time and part time roles.
Salary negotiable dependant on candidate, experience and qualifications.
