Fleet Vehicle Technician required in Chertsey for National Fleet Company
1. Pay: £32,000 - £39,000 Basic DOE + unsociable hours premium + £ 7,360 - £8,970 Total annual earnings = £39,360 - £47,970
2. Hours: 37.5 hours per week ONLY - over 365 day continuous operation- workshop is open 6am - 8pm Monday - Sunday
Are you a skilled automotive professional seeking your next career move? We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Vehicle Technician on behalf of a leading national fleet company in Chertsey. Duties:
9. Servicing and repairing a fleet of converted specialised vans, grey fleet vehicles, and support vehicles, including Skoda Kodiak, Mercedes Vito, MAN TGE, VW Crafter, Fiat Ducato
10. Conducting pre-MOT inspections and diagnostics on vehicles with known faults
11. Maintenance of specialist equipment and telematics
12. Following health and safety protocols and ensuring quality standards are met
13. Working within a 37.5-hour weekly rota on a continuous 365-day schedule, with varied start times and shifts
14. Using your technical expertise to accurately diagnose and resolve vehicle issues in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
15. Level 2 automotive qualification is acceptable; Level 3 is preferred with 3 to 5 years workshop experience
16. Proven experience in vehicle servicing and repairs, particularly with fleet or commercial vehicles
17. Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with a range of vehicle systems
18. Must hold a full UK driving licence with no more than six points
19. Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, with a 22% unsocial hours premium.
