Job Description
Your role will be varied and centred entirely around the needs and personality of your clients. During evening and weekend visits, this typically includes:
* Evening routines: Supporting clients to wind down at the end of the day, including preparing evening meals, assisting with medication reminders and helping with bedtime routines (dressing and personal care) with dignity and respect.
* Companionship: Combatting evening or weekend loneliness by sharing hobbies, watching a favourite show together, or simply providing a friendly face.
* Weekend activities: Helping clients stay active in their community, whether it's a trip to a local garden centre, attending a group or visiting family and friends.
* Home support: Assisting with light housekeeping and ensuring the home is safe and comfortable for the night or day ahead.
* Independence advocacy: Encouraging clients to continue doing things they love, maintaining their independence in the home they cherish.
Qualifications
We hire for attitude and heart rather than just a CV. You are a great fit if:
* You care deeply: You have a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of older people.
* You are reliable: Our clients rely on your consistent presence, especially during evenings and weekends when their families aren't available.
* You are a great communicator: You enjoy listening and can build rapport with people from all walks of life.
* No experience? No problem: We provide award-winning, industry-leading training. We believe that if you have the right heart, we can teach you the rest.
Applicants require a full UK driving license and reliable access to a vehicle to allow them to travel between clients and support clients out into the local community.
