About Our Client
Our client is based in Southampton, and due to a busy period and various ongoing projects, the accountancy team is looking for additional support.
Job Description
3. Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
4. Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
5. Process invoices, payments, and expense claims promptly and accurately.
6. Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial discrepancies are resolved.
7. Provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
8. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
9. Assist in the preparation of financial information for audits and reviews.
10. Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Assistant should have:
11. Previous experience in an accounting or finance role.
12. A good understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
13. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
14. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
15. An ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
16. A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
17. Relevant accounting or finance qualifications would be advantageous.
