As a Business Rates Case Researcher/Maker, you’ll play a critical role in identifying potential opportunities for rate reductions and refunds on commercial properties. Using digital research and data analysis, you’ll investigate property occupation, assess eligibility, and compile compelling case files for our sales team to engage clients with precision and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Case Development & Research
10. Conduct extensive online research to assess the eligibility of business premises for rate reductions, reliefs, or rebates
11. Investigate occupancy status and build profiles of current and historic occupants across sectors (retail, industrial, office)
12. Compile comprehensive, accurate case files that allow the sales team to approach prospects with informed, high-quality insights.
Data Handling & Reporting
13. Input, interpret, and manipulate property and business data using Excel and internal tools
14. Maintain clean, organised records of research findings, source trails, and case status updates
15. Spot patterns, inconsistencies, or indicators of potential recovery opportunities
