Job Description
As a Finance Assistant at Pitreavie Packaging, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our finance team with a range of key tasks, ensuring the smooth running of financial operations within the business. Key Responsibilities
* Processing of company purchase invoices and credit notes, and responsibility for supplier payment runs.
* Maintain and monitor company credit card spend.
* Assist with daily accounting functions, including data entry and reconciliation of accounts.
* Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
* Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve any financial discrepancies.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Provide general administrative support to the finance team as required.
Skills And Experience
* HNC / HND level in accounting (or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
* Previous experience in a finance assistant or similar role is desirable but not essential.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
* Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software is a plus.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning and development.
