Family Therapist - Private Hospital - Full Time hrs p/w - £41,200 - £45,320 DOE
Overview
We are looking for a Family Therapist to join the team on a full time basis at a private hospital located in London,
The hospital support people facing a wide range of mental health challenges, providing specialist care for depression, anxiety and addictions. The team offers tailored treatment for substance addictions, including alcohol, cocaine and heroin, as well as behavioural addictions like gambling. Also providing outpatient support for adults with eating disorders.
Responsibilities
* Receives and responds promptly to referrals undertaking initial assessments to establish the scope, level and nature of the individual client's therapeutic needs.
* Leads and facilitates group and/or individual therapy sessions, ensuring activities and interventions continue to meet the needs of the clients, and are consistent with the provisions detailed in the clients' therapy plan.
* Manages, monitors and reviews an assigned caseload, ensuring delivery within the agreed timescales.
* Maintains accurate and up-to-date clinical records, case file notes and computerised information, and other associated documentation; providing and presenting progress reports to case conference meetings on a regular basis.
* Liaise with professional and clinical colleagues, as part of the MDT. Also, assist with the analysis and reporting of statistical data and information for research and audit purposes. Innovation
* Contributes to the development of healthcare policies, procedures, processes and initiatives. Ensure their clinical practice complies with statutory regulations and current legislation, meet quality standards and deliver against key performance indicators. Regularly reviews the services and pricing points and adjusting in accordance to the demand for the service.
* Ensure patients are receiving a service that is value for their money and objectives are being met to help the success of the unit
* Provide therapeutic support and interventions to children, adolescents, and their families to address mental health challenges
* Facilitate family therapy sessions to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen family relationships.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary CAMHS team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Assess family dynamics and identify factors affecting the young person's mental health and wellbeing.
* Offer guidance and support to families to promote coping strategies and resilience during inpatient treatment
Knowledge / Education / Skills
* Responsible for the allocation and overseeing work of more junior staff
* Shared responsibility for the care and operation of standard equipment
* Responsibility for the confidentiality, security and accuracy of assigned patient records, data and information
* The role holder will have a relevant accreditation following a recognised post-graduate counselling or therapy qualification.
